About Dampwood Termites
Pacific dampwood termites are commonly found in beach homes. They particularly thrive in damp, moist wood. Plumbing leaks, over-watered planter boxes, earth to wood contact, and other excessive moisture conditions contribute to their colony growth.
Swarmers may be seen throughout the year, but usually during the August through October months. They are most likely to swarm on warm humid evenings just before sunset.
